Edwards; Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Bassist, wrote his first hit song in U.S at the age of 14, on Philly Sound Records, Lonely Man. He is an entrepreneur with an extensive background of over thirty-five professional years in entertainment, international concert promotions, music and film producing and directing, artist development, and digital content management. In 1979, he founded Sonic Jett Production. As a recording artist Jett Edwards has more than five Top 10 hit songs released on the U.S. Billboard charts. As a songwriter and producer, he’s stopped counting. Edwards has managed/produced and collaborated with artists such as The Jackson’s family label (Jackson Records as A &R Director), Leon Ware, Wayne Henderson, Five Blind Boys of Mississippi and Alabama, Charlie Wilson, Edgar Winter, Gap Band, KC & The Sunshine Band, Swan Silvertones, Soul Stirrers, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, The Crusaders, Tuck & Patti, James Brown, Dionne Warwick, Isley Brothers, The Temptations, George Benson and Motown Records.
Edwards has spent the past twenty six years abroad in Asia-Japan opening business opportunities and building a bridge of opportunities for many American companies currently operating throughout Asia today. He has served for concert promotions and management companies in the U.S. and Japan supporting companies including Rising Productions, Creative Man Production, Udo and Kyodo Tokyo, Avex artist development, Stargate, Sun Music, and Watanabe Productions etc. In 2002, Edwards produced Japan’s first International Music School of Arts. In 2004, he served as COO of Wisdom Entertainment Network, Inc, Japan’s largest holder of American mobile digital content, celebrity ringtones, mobile site development, partnering with companies like Duwango, Ito-Chu, Dentsu, Polydor, Universal Vivendi, Universal Music, Walt Disney, etc. He is currently a Japanese Government employee, twelve year Professional Educator at Tokyo Gakugei- Dai-Gaku, (University in English), teaching Music and American Culture.
